The Territory of the Upper Tiber Valley offers different activities aimed at meeting the needs of the whole family.

Are you planning an active holiday?

A sports center with tennis courts, soccer and beach volleyball is two km away from Il Sasso. In the Tiber Valley you will find also an extensive network of trails (VALTIBERINA HIKING NETWORK) for itineraries on foot, by mountain bike (rental  Outdoor – Enrico tel. 3319077671) or on horseback.

Looking for a relaxing holiday?

A 15-minute drive from Sasso is A Wellness Center, Golf and Horse Riding is 15 minutes away (by car) from Il Sasso.
A renowned Spa (Terme di Fontecchio) is located in Città di Castello.

Would you like to experience a “tasteful” holyday?

The culinary landscape of our valley is very rich. There are many restaurants serving traditional Tuscan quality cuisine.

Some of these, in collaboration with Il Sasso, offer our guests favorable conditions: Il Feudo del Vicario, La Nena, Locanda al Castello di Sorci in Anghiari; Fiorentino Restaurant and L’Incanto in Sansepolcro, La Pieve Vecchia in Monterchi; le Civette in Citerna.

Just a little bit of shopping?

In Tiber Valley you can find quality products and famous brands from the territory companies, as ABOCA (products based on medicinal herbs); BUSATTI (fine tissues worked to frame); THINGS OF WOOL (Il Granchio); INGHIRAMI (Ingram, Reporter, …).

Some historical centers of antique fornitures restoration and antiques exhibitions are located in the charming old town of Anghiari (Fratelli Calli, Dragonetti Valerio, l’Ottocento, Poggini Milton and Rumori Silvia).

There are also numerous craft shops as Arxaia and Carabattole (Pottery, Decoupage, embroidery, bobbin lace and … handcrafted nativity scenes), ArteDiem (unique watercolor portraits painted on old wood), “I Live in Tuscany” (clothes, gadgets, accessories), Bottega dell’Arte (Articles for wrought iron furniture, ceramics, artistic decorations for interiors), Il Borgo della Croce (decorations for handcrafts and ceramics), Domus Artis (modern and old iron working), Artefatta in Toscana (terracotta sculptures, panel paintings, art works), Fantasticando (Fabrics, decoupage, wedding favors and gift ideas), Elisabetta (Bags, handcrafted leather), Urka!
